Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra Now Accepting College Students
Princeton, New Jersey – The Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra has
announced that they are now accepting college students, in addition to students entering
8th through 12th grades. This prestigious non-profit youth orchestra, is now in its 42nd
year of offering exciting, challenging and unique educational training and performance
opportunities. Entrance at all grade levels is by competitive audition.
The GPYO, under the direction of the accomplished Maestro Fernando Raucci, performs four
major concerts each season. In addition, students benefit from collaborations with
professional guest soloists, and opportunities to perform classical as well as
contemporary music through an exciting, challenging literature. Symphony orchestra solo
competitions and master classes are offered, as well as opportunities to perform on
European tours.
College students who wish to extend and enhance their current orchestral training and
